None of us here at Christeningowns.com speak Italian, but I did put her email in a translator and got:

We sell our baby boy and girl christening gowns for all different occasions and purposes, but the most common are the rites and liturgy associated with baptism and christening. Amongst the different forms of Christianity, the manner of baptizing differs and has changed over time.
The usual form of baptism among early Christians in the 1st century AD was to be immersed totally or partially in water. In the earliest centuries after the onset of Christianity, archaeological evidence suggest that people would stand in water while water was poured on the upper body. Today, depending on the practice and denomination, it’s common to either pour or sprinkle water. Eastern Orthodox and Eastern Catholic traditionally practice total immersion in water. Within the Greek Orthodox Church, baptismal day is one of the most important days for a child. Baptism usually occurs the first year after the baby is born. Often the baby won’t have a name until the child is baptized. During the Greek Orthodox tradition it’s not uncommon for the priest to cut a lock of the baby’s hair to signify his or her allegiance to Christ in mind, should and body.
