Last week, we featured a beautiful christening story about a little boy from Namibia named Luca who was christened late Spring. He was baptized wearing an outfit from our new Cameron Silk Collection. His mom, Lorin, along with a little help from both of Luca’s grandmothers, planned a gorgeous christening event that was enjoyed by a small group of family and close friends. Lorin described the event as a bit non-traditional since the actual christening ceremony did not take place in a church, but was certainly a fun way to change things up. From the perfect fit of Luca’s outfit and the fresh white decor, we felt Luca’s Christening was certainly inspiring, so we had to share a few more pictures and details from his special day.

The Cameron Silk Collection is one of our newest Boys Heirloom Christening Collections. Not only is the collection new, the design is a new addition to our collections as well. The Cameron Gown is a combination of the Cameron Silk Jumpsuit and Cameron Silk Skirt. The Cameron Silk Skirt has an elastic waist and is secured to the buttons on the front bodice of the Cameron Silk Christening Jumpsuit. Together, they create the traditional look of an heirloom length silk gown. Once the ceremony is over, simply remove the skirt and your little guy already is ready to celebrate at his christening party. It’s certainly a fun, modern take on an heirloom design and quite convenient for older babies that are busy moving around.
[blockquote source=”Lorin”]My husband brought some of the water of the farm to use in the Christening of our son. The farm will one day be passed down on to our children and the fact that we used the water in the actual christening was something memorable and special. [/blockquote]
